We are able to continue your support following on from your Phase III (Stage 4) Cardiac Rehabilitation care with an NHS or Private service. At M.L. Health and Fitness we have 4 years of experience designing and implementing programmes to support hundreds of people in returning to previous activities and getting fit following their cardiac event or intervention. We have been able to support people get back to a wide range of activities from gardening and carpet bowls up to martial arts, running and weight lifting. We are highly qualified professionals that are able to continue your onward care and support to achieve the goals set in your Phase III programme including, weight management, fitness improvements, building confidence, strength gains, daily activity specific and sport specific exercise. We also help to build fitness to support return to work including advice and graded step tests to help prepare for DVLA treadmill test for regaining HGV licences.
We keep up to date with the latest information and advice from the British Heart Foundation (BHF), The British Association for Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation (BACPR) and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Cardiac Rehabilitation (ACPICR) who provide all the guidelines for designing and implementing cardiac rehabilitation programmes. We support a range of cardiac conditions and interventions including Myocardial Infarctions, Stent Procedures, Bypass Surgery, Stable Heart Failure, Stable Angina, Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection, Valve replacement or repair and implanted devices such as pacemakers and ICDs.
We are a mobile service and can design a tailored 1:1 programme that can be completed at your own home or another suitable location. Our programmes and training sessions are predominantly land based, but can provide advice and programme for building fitness, muscle strength and endurance for returning to swimming and other water sports.
